Applicant will have to provide evidence that he/she falls under this category.

Requirements For Drivers of International Transportation’s Visa

General requirements

The mentioned type of visa is exempted from Visa Fee
Visa Application Form Completed visa application form, duly signed by the applicant (In case of minors, applicant’s guardian/parent should sign on behalf of the minor applicant)
Forms should be filled either in the Spanish or in the English language
Photograph 1 recent passport size photograph.
Valid Passport(s) International passport with minimum validity exceeding three months from the date of return.
Photocopy of ALL the pages should be submitted with the application. In case the applicant is holding more than one International passport, applicant should provide with the following:
  • Other passport(s) in original ALONG with photocopies of all the pages of each additional passport
  • In case previous passport(s) is/are cancelled, applicant must submit a certificate from the relevant authority about its cancellation
  • In addition, photocopy of all pages of the internal passport is required.

Documents required

The applicant must show that he/she is economically and socially rooted in Ukraine, by means of, among other:
A certificate of employment from the employer mentioning last SIX months salary drawn OR a certificate from the relevant institution of study, OR a certificate of incorporation for the entrepreneur
  • Details of additional earnings from alternate sources in Ukraine (e.g. rental income, properties, company shareholding, etc)
  • Copies of Schengen visas issued in the past
Insurance Travel insurance covering all Schengen countries with a minimum coverage of Euro 30000. The insurance coverage is expected to include:
  • Urgent medical treatment
  • Emergency admission to hospital
  • Repatriation

IMPORTANT: It is mandatory to submit a valid medical insurance along with your visa application form. The validity of such medical insurance must cover the entire duration of stay or exceed the number of days of intended stay mentioned in visa application.

Proof of financial means
{Order 1282/2007. BOE 11/05/2007}
Sufficient supporting documents as proof of financial means should be submitted which confirms solvency of € 589,68 per person for 9 days in Spain. This amount will be increased to € 65,52 for additional day spent in Spain . Some of the possible proof of financial means could be:
  • Bank Statement (at least last THREE months of bank TRANSACTIONS); or
  • traveler Cheques; or
  • Copy of the Credit Card(s) ALONG with the ATM receipt showing your current balance in the account; or
  • Proof of a banking Hryvnia -to-Euro currency exchange.
Purpose of travel to Spain
(A.F.V. 2007/840/CE. Art. 4.1)

A written request from the national association of carriers of Ukraine (ASMAP) or from another association for international road transportation authorized by the Visa Facilitation Agreement between Ukraine and EU, stating the purpose, duration and frequency of the trips to EU countries and registration information of a vehicle in Ukraine.

Invitation from the Spanish company or organization, signed by a concerned person with the company stamp (the letter should contain the information of fiscal identification code NIF or CIF), indicating company of employment, airlines, dates, term of stay, frequency of trip.

Copy of the contract between the company of applicant and Host Company.

Proof of former cargo transport (CMR), if you applying for multiple visa. In case of a first travel it is required to indicate the concrete dates.
  • Professional accreditation
  • Proof of employment: Copy of Labor-book.
  • Photocopy of driving license for international transportation.
  • License registered in Ukrainian company for international transportation.
  • Proof of cost of travel
  • Letter from Ukrainian company or the receiving company with the assurance of all travel expenses covered
  • The Embassy of Spain reserves the right to ask for any additional documents.
Special cases Non – Ukrainian applicants For non-Ukrainian passport holders, copy of the Residence Permit and Work Permit must be submitted. However, Original should be shown at the time of visa application submission.

IMPORTANT: All documents submitted by the applicant must be translated into Spanish or English – EXCEPT for copies of passports, travel ticket, Bank account information (statement of the ultimate three months of bank transactions) and Insurance.

Note: We regret we cannot accept photographs that do not meet these requirements

Please provide one recent photograph (not more than 6 months old) of yourself, which should not have been used previously in the passport. The photograph should be in colour and:

  • Taken against a light background (white or off-white) so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background.
  • Clear share quality and with the face in focus.
  • Printed on normal photographic paper (camera print).
  • Full face, non-smiling [without sunglasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background]
  • Please stick the Photograph on the Visa Application Form.

Please, note that application for Schengen visa must be submitted not earlier than 6 months prior to the travel date. Seamen can apply for a visa 9 months prior to intended trip.

Applications Submitted in Kyiv BLS Visa Application Center

The Processing Time takes at least 5 working days under condition of presenting all the necessary documents, including the day of submission and passport delivery to the BLS Visa Application Center in Kyiv.
In the second half of the 5th working day the processed passports are collected from the Consular Section of the Embassy of Spain and on the same day the passport is handed over to BLS Visa Application Center in Kyiv.
You can collect the passport on the next working day from 9 a.m. till 16:00 p.m.
If the passport isn`t collected by the applicant at the BLS Visa Application Center in one month after the submission of the documents, it will be delivered to the Consular Section and can be collected there.

Applications Submitted in Kharkiv, Odessa or Lviv

The Processing Time takes at least 7 working days, under condition of presenting all the necessary documents, including the day of submission and passport delivery to the regional BLS Visa Application Centers.

You can collect your passport on the next day after its delivery to the BLS Visa Application Center from 9:00 a.m. till 16:00 p.m. If the passport isn`t collected by the applicant in one month after the submission of the documents, it will be delivered to the Consular Section and can be collected there.

The applicants can apply for an urgent visa only at BLS Visa Application Center in Kyiv, under condition of presenting all the necessary documents, and in this case the Processing Time takes at least 3 working days, including the day of submission and passport delivery to the BLS Visa Application Center in Kyiv.
